Working with fellow creatives will always hold a deeply special place in my heart. There is an undeniable magic in documenting the raw, unfiltered process of creation itself, and it is a side of artistry that often goes completely unseen. So, when Monteasy reached out and asked if I wanted to come by the studio booth to document him working on some new music, I jumped at the chance to step into his creative world.
To be honest, I still don't know what was more fun: watching him meticulously build a track from the ground up or capturing the magic of that focus through my lens. The truth is, it’s both. Most people only ever get to experience the polished, final product that hits the streaming platforms, but there is an entire universe of effort that happens before that moment. I feel incredibly blessed to share in these intimate, behind-the-scenes chapters that are usually kept behind closed doors.
Being in that room, witnessing the explosive energy, the deep love for the craft, the environment fueled by passion and late-night dedication, and the moment when abstract ideas suddenly come to life in real time... absolutely amazing.
